Aim: To provide Basic First Aid training to meet your specific needs.


Training Objectives: On completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Recognise First Aid emergencies
  • Provide necessary first aid  treatment within the workplace etc
  • Understand and demonstrate essential life saving skills
  • Course Syllabus:
  • Responsibilities of First Aiders
  • Scene Management
  • Principles of treatment
  • Patient Assessment:  (Primary and Secondary Surveys)
  • CPR & use of an AED (Defibrillator)
  • CPR and AED practical
  • Recovery position
  • Blood and the circulation System
  • Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Wounds and Bleeding including the application of Dressings and Bandages
  • Respiratory Emergencies including choking and Asthma
  • Altered levels of consciousness incl fainting, seizures  etc.
  • Shock including its recognition and treatment
  • Musculoskeletal  Injuries: Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations
  • Head injuries including compression, concussion and factures
  • Allergic reactions including Anaphylactic shock
  • Burns, scalds and Bites
  • Poisoning, Electrocution


Course Duration: 1 day  or  over 2 days tailored to suit your needs

Certification: All successful candidates will receive a certificate valid for a period of 2 years.
